Advertising disclosure: CarFinanced is free to use. When you click through to a lender and take an action, we may be paid a referral fee. That fee never changes your rate, and it doesn't decide the order you see offers in. Full disclosure.

About CarFinanced

Why this site exists

Dealers often make more profit on the loan than on the car. The rate you’re offered in the finance office can carry a markup over what the lender actually approved, the monthly payment gets negotiated instead of the price, and most buyers walk in without knowing what borrowers with their credit profile actually pay. CarFinanced exists to put that number in your hand before you sit down.

Who runs it

I’m Md Bakar. I’ve spent my career in financial regulatory reporting at one of the largest U.S. banks, working as a legal entity controller on broker-dealer regulation — SEC net capital and customer protection rules (15c3-1 and 15c3-3) and FOCUS regulatory filings. My day job is making sure financial figures reported to regulators are right; this site applies the same instinct to the numbers consumers see when they finance a car.

CarFinanced is independently owned. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by my employer or by any bank or lender, and everything published here reflects publicly available data and my own analysis.

How the numbers work

The rate data on this site comes from published industry sources — primarily Experian’s quarterly State of the Automotive Finance Market — and each table cites its source and the period it covers. The calculators use the standard amortization formula every lender uses. When data goes stale, we update it; when we can’t verify something, we don’t publish it.

How the site makes money

Referral fees from lending partners, disclosed in full on our advertising disclosure page. Partners never influence the numbers.

One important caveat

Nothing on this site is individualized financial advice. I’m not your financial adviser, and a website can’t be — it doesn’t know your situation. The goal here is to hand you accurate market data and honest math so you can negotiate from strength.
